Genre: Music Novel
" Quietly powerful- both absorbing and touching" The New York Times Book Review
Our library is doing a display this term on "The Arts" and so I am purchasing some new novels to work with our display.
This story is about Renne, potentially the greatest cellist who ever lived- a lot for a young 18 year old to live up to. But then his gift deserted him- the concert halls and fame became a thing of his past.
When he gets involved in a murder trail he collides with a young 9 year old Korean boy- teaching him the gift of the Cello. But who gets taught and what does the teacher learn himself through the talent of this 9 year old boy?
