When Sera's favourite true crime podcast host, Rachel Bard, disappears and new episodes of the podcast stop running, Sera sets out to find and save her.

Knowing each episode inside and out, Sera heads to the sparsely populated, rural town in Northern California where Rachel grew up, determined to discover what's happened to her. The more she investigates Rachel's world and the small town of Happy Camp, the more off things start to feel. Sera begins to suspect she may be a pawn in an invisible game and she must separate fact from fiction before she becomes the subject of a true crime podcast herself.
