Mud, Sweat and Tears
By: Bear Grylls
Location: NF 920 GRY
Genre: Well simply- Bear Grylls
This is the story of Bear Grylls, and it has been made simpler and easier to read and now published as a junior edition, but is has not lost any of its intensity or minimised Bear Grylls story in anyway.
This book answers its own question- HOW DID BEAR GRYLLS BECOME ONE OF THE WORLDS TOUGHEST ADVENTURERS?
This book tell of the parachute accident that broke Bears back, it tell of his summit of Mt Everest only 18 months later, it reveals the story of his SAS life and then rides the waves of Man Vs Wild and all the adventures and insanity of that show. One of the stories I love about Man Vs Wild is the young lad who got lost in the bush in Wellington, he was eventually found safe and well, and he recalled he just followed Bear Grylls advice- follow the river down stream, eat, drink and stay warm.
This book tells the stories of Bears earlier life, his roots, the early big missions that shaped him and the moments that steered him. It is a darn good read!
