She has to 'keep corner' or stay confined in a house, to prepare for a life of mourning. Ghandi at the same time is leading the Indian people in revolt against the British, but also against the Indian ways of degenerating woman and he protests against the caste system. His political movement called satyagraha gives freedom and hope... can it help Leela?
