The Rule of Three

Genre: Dystopia that could happen.

A person can last 3 minutes without air,
3 days without water, 3 weeks without food.
A community begins to die in just seconds.

I am experiencing computer rage today. The system is so slow, in fact nothing I have written yet has popped up on the screen. I am typing blind.
Technology enrages me, some days I just want it to go away. Then I send an email, snap chat my friends and crank up my blue tooth speaker!
So what would happen if technology died- Amish we would become, but would we actually know how to do that ?
Today alone with technology I will do my banking, pay for my groceries, drive to work, spend most of my day at work using various forms of technology, use my phone for communication, listen to music, fill my car up with gas, cook my dinner and book an airflight. With no technology my every day life would be decimated. some days that feels like bliss- but in reality it would be very scary.

One shocking afternoon, computers around the globe shut down in a viral catastrophe. At sixteen-year-old Adam Daley’s high school, the problem first seems to be a typical electrical outage, until students discover that cell phones are down, municipal utilities are failing, and a few computer-free cars like Adam’s are the only vehicles that function. Driving home, Adam encounters a storm tide of anger and fear as the region becomes paralyzed. Soon—as resources dwindle, crises mount, and chaos descends—he will see his suburban neighborhood band together for protection. And Adam will understand that having a police captain for a mother and a retired government spy living next door are not just the facts of his life but the keys to his survival.
