Review on Goodreads
Beautiful historical fiction written in prose about young, forbidden love during the famine in Ireland in the 1840s. This was far more powerful than I was expecting. People barely able to get by with little help from those in power is an important hardship we still feel. Beautiful, tragic, heartbreaking. Recommend
