Kyra is 16 and wakes up behind a pile of rubbish at a petrol station really confused and with no idea at all about how she got there. Upon arriving home she finds a strange man there and things are not right. She finally finds out that while she thinks she is missing only one night's worth of memories she has actually been missing for five years. What is even stranger is that she looks no different to she did five years ago!
Kyra's life is very different to before- her parents are divorced and her mum is remarried, she was an only child and she now has a brother, her boyfriend is now dating the girl who was her best friend...
Kyra turns to her old boyfriend's younger brother, Tyler, and together they retrace her steps from the night she disappeared. They discover strange phenomena that no one can explain. In fact, there are others who have been taken... and returned much later. Kyra tries to figure out an explanation and get back the life she used to have, but what if the life she wants back is not her own?
